This agreement is between Jones & Co Catering and the client named below ("Client") for the catering event described in the menu selections.
Pricing
All prices are estimates for quoting purposes only and are subject to change. Final pricing is confirmed on your signed agreement; actual cost may vary based on final selections, guest count, and market prices. Any prices posted on our website or menus are provided for quoting purposes only. The binding price is the total stated on this signed agreement.
Deposit & payment
A 10% deposit is required to reserve your date. The date is not held until the deposit is received.
The remaining balance is due on or before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments are processed securely through Square (credit/debit card). Cash and check are also accepted.
Service fee & gratuity
A service fee of 20% for buffet and 25% for full service is added to the food subtotal. This covers staffing and operating costs.
Gratuity is not included in the service fee and is left to the Client's discretion. An optional 20% gratuity may be added at the Client's request.
On-site events include a $75.00 setup fee covering setup and breakdown of the service area.
On-site events include a $25.00 delivery fee.
Events for fewer than 25 guests add a 15% small-group fee on the food subtotal.
Bookings made within 7 days of the event add a 10% short-notice (rush) fee on the food subtotal.
6.99% sales tax is added to the taxable subtotal (food and applicable fees). Voluntary gratuity is not taxed. Tax-exempt organizations (nonprofit/reseller) are not charged sales tax with a valid exemption certificate on file.
Pickup / to-go orders
Orders may be arranged for pickup ("to-go") instead of on-site catering. For pickup orders, the service fee, setup fee, trip charge, and linen fees do not apply, and gratuity is optional.
Pickup orders are packaged for transport; the Client is responsible for holding, transport, and final serving.
Trip charge (on-site)
A $50.00 trip charge may apply to on-site events when the order is under $500.00 or the venue is more than 60 miles from 84078 (Vernal, UT). It is confirmed on your signed agreement.
Credit card processing fee
A 3% processing fee applies to payments made by credit card. This fee is not charged on debit cards, cash, or check.
The fee does not exceed our cost of acceptance and is disclosed here, at checkout, and as a separate line item on your receipt.
Card surcharging is applied only where permitted by applicable law. Card payments are processed by Square in accordance with card-network rules.
Menu & guest count deadlines
Final menu selections are due 10 days before the event. Selections submitted late may incur a 20% surcharge to cover product purchased locally on short notice.
Final guest count is due 10 days before the event and becomes the guaranteed minimum for billing.
Guest-count adjustments within 6 days of the event may result in additional cost to source extra product locally. Decreases after the deadline do not reduce the final invoice.
Service time
Standard service time is allotted by guest count: up to 150 guests — 60 minutes; 150–300 — 90 minutes; 300+ — 120 minutes. Additional requested service time is billed at $100 per hour. (Service-time limits and the overtime fee do not apply to Christmas parties/events.)
Linens & place settings
If we provide and place linens, a fee of $1.50 per guest is added.
Place settings above the agreed guest count are billed at $1.50 per setting.
Cancellation
Cancellations more than 10 business days before the event: the deposit may be applied as credit to a future event.
Cancellations 6–10 business days before the event: 25% of the quoted total is due.
Cancellations 5 business days or fewer before the event: 100% of the quoted total is due, as product and staffing are already committed.
If Jones & Co Catering is unable to fulfill your event for any reason (scheduling conflict, emergency, etc.), your deposit is refunded in full. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically post within 5–10 business days.
Allergies & special requests
Please tell us about any allergies or dietary needs when submitting your menu. If there's something you'd like that isn't on our menu, ask — chances are we can prepare it for you.
